In the left margin:  Arthur Joyner Will

In the Name of God Amen I Arthur Joyner of the 
County of Southampton and Parish of Nottoway being weak in body but of 
perfect sound sense & memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same as 
touching on such Temporal estate goods and Chattels as it hath been pleased 
god to bestow on me I give and dispose in manner and form following ___ 

Imprimis: I give & bequeath to my son Robert Joyner five shillings ___ 

2: I give and bequeath unto my sons Kemp Joyner my 
horse two cows & calves and all my stock of hogs also one feather bed 
and furniture to each of them but in case my son Theophilus Joyner
should die without heir lawfully begotten of his own body then 
legacy to my son Kemp Joyner & his heirs ___ 

Thirdly: I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Green Joyner one feather bed 
one chest & one spinning wheel the said Mary to have her first choice of 
my beds and furniture to her and her heirs forever also my loom & Gur?

Fourthly and Lastly: 
All the remainder of my estate not yet disposed of of any kind 
whatsoever to be equally divided between my three children Kemp 
Theophilus & Mary Joyner to them to their heirs & assigns forever & I 
do hereby constitute appoint & ordain my friends John Davis & 
Burwell Rawlings my whole & sole executors to this my last will & 
testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and 
seal this 20th day of September 1792 _______

At a Court held for the County of Southampton 
on 11th day of January 1793  This Will was presented in Court 
by Burwell Rawlings one of the executors therein named proved by 
the oaths of John Smith one of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be 
recorded And on the motion of the said executors who made oath according 
to law certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat thereof in due form 
giving Security whereupon &c
